I became a therapist because of the transformative effect that therapy had on my own life. Because of this experience, it's my mission to work with compassion to foster genuine growth in others. I strive to create a collaborative setting to deliver meaningful, lasting results.
I know that our best efforts to self-manage life stressors can result in unhealthy behaviors that keep us stuck. By learning more about factors leading to problematic coping skills, we can also take action to build healthier habits and make better choices. I believe that insight and awareness are the keys to creating change and work to help clients align with their core values using psychodynamic, attachment-focused, evidence-based treatment models. I am also an EMDR trained therapist and utilize this modality to help clients target, reprocess, and co-exist with traumatic situations and events.
I earned my Master of Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University and also hold a BA in Communication Studies and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. I am an Associate Marriage & Family Therapist (AMFT #135877) and an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC #12605) providing services under the supervision of Briana Smith, LMFT CA #117210.
